Joshua Tree National Park, 3/1/08

It has been a pathetic 5 or 6 months since my last post. But now that spring is on its way, I expect to have many more adventures, an thus, more posts.

I went to Joshua Tree National Park on March 1st. It was a beautiful sunny day. I had read online a few days before that the wildflowers were full in bloom, and Joshua Tree did not disappoint. Although there were few to none near the Joshua Tree Visitor Center in the Mojave Desert part of the park, there were thousands upon thousands of wildflowers near the Oasis Visitor Center in the Colorado Desert part of the park. Fields of Desert Poppy, Chia, Desert Dandelions, Mojave Lupine and California Chicory lined the road, along with the cars of all the park visitors. It was quite a busy day in the park. Hundreds of people were out in the fields with their cameras.... just like me ;)

Joshua Tree National Park is located between Joshua Tree, CA and Twentynine Palms, CA. There are entrances to the park at both of these locations.

I posted pictures below. Enjoy!!
