The road to Figueroa Mountain. I went there yesterday, and was not disappointed. I found several differnt kinds of flowers, and a hillside that was literally carpeted in lupine and poppies. The scent of the lupine was incredible! The roads are narrow, though, and many people stopped their cars so that the road was nearly blocked. I doubt the rangers approved (I know I didn't! lol). That being said, it was a lovely day at Figueroa Mountain.

Cottonwood Canyon Road - Owl's Clover
The purple bloom of Owl's Clover....I saw just a few of these, but there will be more to come in the next few weeks.
Cottonwood Canyon Road - Thistle Sage
Thistle Sage is just beginning to bloom on Cottonwood Canyon Road
Los Osos Oaks State Reserve
Twisted branches of the Oak Trees almost make you feel like you are walking in a haunted forest. This was a nice little day hike, but the trails are not very well marked, and poison oak is almost as abundant as the trees themselves....probably more so!
Los Osos State Reserve - (13)
The trees are covered in moss. Looks like something out of a scary movie.
Los Osos State Reserve - (31)
I found a few of these cute little flowers along the trail. Not sure if they are Chapparral Peas or not.
Los Osos Oaks State Reserve - Purple Fiesta Flower (4)
Lots of Purple Fiesta Flowers can be found blooming around the trails in the preserve....just watch out for the poison oak. It is abundant here.
Montana de Oro - Bermuda Buttercup
I found quite a lot of Bermuda Buttercups at Montana de Oro State Park
