Caliente Bodfish Road - Popcorn Flower
I came across fields full of Popcorn Flower, Bird's Eye Gilia and Fiddleneck on Caliente Bodfish Road.
Granite Road - Farewell To Spring
It was pretty windy out on Granite Road, so I didn't get many pictures of these.

Mt Diablo State Park - April 17, 2009
I took a trip to Mt Diablo State Park on April 17, 2009. The weather was great, and there wasn't a whole lot of traffic either. I found lots of wildflowers here and also in the Mitchell Canyon part of the park.
Some wildflowers spotted here included: Filaree, Miner's Lettuce, Larkspur, Indian Paintbrush, Checker Lily, Indian Warrior, Lupine, Buttercups, Blue Dicks, Poppies, Chinese Houses, Blue Eyed Grass, Woodland Star, Milkmaids, Mt Diablo Globe Lily, and more. I posted pictures below. All are clickable for a larger view.
Mt Diablo State Park is located in Walnut Creek, CA. For directions and more info, visit their website. Click HERE to visit their site.
Checker Lily
The subdued colors of these flowers nearly caused me to miss them as I walked on the Summit Trail.
Indian Warrior
I found a whole lot of these near the Sunset Picnic Area, on the Summit Trail in Mt Diablo State Park.
Mitchell Canyon Trail
Mitchell Canyon is part of Mt Diablo State Park. It is located on Mitchell Canyon Rd, off of Clayton Dr in Walnut Creek, CA. I walked on Mitchell Canyon Trail, which is a nice, wide, well-maintained trail.
Mt Diablo Globe Lily
These pretty flowers grow only in Mt Diablo State Park, and nowhere else in the world.
